The AutoTrickler V4 Shim & Hopper Base System is built for reloaders who want a more consistent, repeatable setup. Many users have found that shimming the rear of the V4 can improve powder dispensing reliability, and this kit gives you a clean, controlled way to do that with labeled shims and a hopper base upgrade.

Because the “right” angle can vary by powder, you get seven shim sizes to fine-tune your setup without guessing.

Why rear shimming helps

This system is designed around keeping the V4’s small tube “finish speed” consistent enough to drop individual kernels as the target weight is reached. By adjusting rear angle with differing shim sizes, you can better match the dispenser to the powder you’re using and help reduce overthrows during the final stage.

Hopper base upgrade

The hopper base matches the overall shape and size of the factory base, but features cleaner manufacturing and storage slots for shims not currently in use.

It also addresses the acrylic cylinder fit so powder doesn’t get trapped between the cylinder and base—helping make powder changes easier without worrying about mixing small amounts of powder.

Compatibility & installation notes

• Compatible with: AutoTrickler V4
• Hardware included: None (installs with factory hardware)
• To use the rear shims, remove the clear “cabinet bumper” from the rear of the dispenser; the shims are designed to fit into that cavity
