Simplify single-round loading with the Savage Axis / Axis II Short Action Single Shot Sled. Designed to install in place of the standard magazine, the sled creates a dedicated loading surface that helps guide each cartridge into the chamber for a smooth, repeatable single-feed workflow.

Rather than repeatedly loading and unloading a magazine, the sled provides a dedicated platform for manually loading one cartridge at a time—keeping the process simple whenever single-feeding is preferred.

A Savage Axis single shot sled can be useful across a range of applications, including load development, bench and range sessions, slow-fire competition, cartridge testing, and other one-round-at-a-time workflows.

Single-feeding also removes the internal length of the standard magazine from the loading process, allowing use with cartridges that exceed normal magazine length. This can be especially useful during load development when testing cartridge configurations that may not fit inside a standard magazine.
